| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 12, 2005, B8 Hellen Margurite Post Lowrey, 93 years old, passed away of congestive heart failure on Oct. 3 in the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown, Mont. Hellen was born on September 10, 1912 in Logan, Kan. Her parents were Mary Hellen Kroger Post Hunter and Jacob Post. She was the ninth child born out of 12 children in this family. The only living child is Robert Post, who lives in Phillipsburg, Kan. Hellen married Warren D. Lowrey on April 24, 1929 in Phillipsburg, Kan. They moved to Port Orchard, Wash., in 1944. Hellen was a Port Orchard mail carrier for 17 years and a school bus driver for the South Kitsap School District for 16 years. Hellen and Warren retired and moved to Arizona in 1982, where she remained. Hellen was preceded in death by her husband Warren D. Lowrey, daughter Vivian Lavern, and sons Lawrence Edward and Terry Lynn. Her six living children are Zatha Jane Kelly, BeeBee Irene Buhler, Warren J. and wife Alberta, Darrel D. and wife Carole, Jack D. and wife Tam, and Larry L. and wife Wanda. She has 29 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all of her family and friends. |
