The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, September 17, 2009 Harry Bradley (Brad) Johnson, 89, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Sept. 13, 2009.He was born March 18, 1920, in Cornell, Ill. His parents were Harry Johnson and Julie Johnson. Harry married Harriet Francis (Fran) Foote Jan. 15, 1949, in Baxter Springs. He graduated from the Michigan College of Mining and Technology in June 1946 with a Bachelor of Science in mining engineering. Brad and Fran moved to Prescott in 1985 from Annandale, Va., after he retired from the American Mining Congress. Brad served in WWII in the Army Air Corps, 39th Bomb Squadron as a B-29 pilot and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was awarded the Air Medal, Oak Leaf Cluster and Distinguished Flying Cross during his service in the western pacific station on Tinian Island. He is survived by his daughter Margaret; sons Greg (Janet) and David (Suzanne); and one grandson, Brian. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at the Prescott United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory may be made to the Building Fund of Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 West Gurley St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
