Edna Vivian Cordes Warren, 92, passed away Aug. 27, 2009, in Chandler, Ariz.Edna was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Humboldt, Ariz., to Charles and Mary Cordes of Cordes, Ariz.

Edna married H.V. (Vernon) Warren on June 14, 1944, in Prescott, Ariz.
Edna and Vernon lived in Crown King, Kingman, Hackberry, Seligman and Page, Ariz., as well as many other locations around the state while Vernon worked road construction. For the past 10 years Edna has lived at the Arizona Pioneer Home in Prescott.

Her husband, Vernon; her parents; her brothers Henry E. Cordes, Raymond C. Cordes and Warren O. Cordes; sister Ruby E. McGee; and granddaughter Kelly Whitehead preceded Edna in death.

Edna is survived by her brother Cal Cordes of Prescott; her children, Charles V. Warren (Priscilla) of Fayetteville, N.C., Helen Masten (Bud Henager) of Pima, Ariz., Joe Warren (Irene) of Sterling, Ark., Elizabeth Steele (Lonnie) of Stark City, Mo., Mary McGetrick (Mike) of Duncan, Ariz., John Warren (Vivian) of Page, Ariz., and Verna Starr (Tom) of St. David, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren also survive her.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
