Freddie (Haystack) Riley

Freddie Riley died May 8, 2007.

He was born Aug. 21, 1941. Freddie was employed with Southwest Industries in McNary for 14 years and then went to work for FATCO in 1969. He retired in 2005. Freddie also worked as a police officer for the White Mountain Apache Tribe. He graduated from the academy in March 1980. Freddie was a reserve officer for the Apache County Sheriff's Department. He also took part in carrying the colors for Post 60.

Freddie is survived by wife Eugenia Riley; brothers Jimmy and Felix Riley; sons Fairrison and Frederick; daughters Rose Gooday, Emmaline and Elva; daughters-in-law Phoebe and Beverlyn Riley; also 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sinew Luke Riley; his mother, Pela (Quitero) Riley; brothers Larry, Starry, Nick and Jared; his sister, Lilly Pabelo and sister-in-law Yanna Clarkson.

A wake started Thursday, May 17, with funeral services to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Adam Memorial Hall in Whiteriver with Robert Jiminez, Brother Mills and Brother Buster Beatty officiating.

Following the funeral, burial will be held at the Canyon Day Cemetery. The family welcomes all friends and relatives who wish to come and honor him during these services.
