The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 07/23/2004 (09/22/1935 - 07-13-2004) Steven Antonio, 68, died in Phoenix July 18, 2004. He was born in Canyon Day, and was raised in Show Low where he attended school. Following school he worked at Reidhead Lumber and then went to work as a game warden for The White Mountain Apache Tribe Game and Fish Department for many years. Steven then worked as a police office in Whiteriver until his retirement in 1985. Steven enjoyed reading the Bible daily and was a fan of the New York Yankees. Steven is survived by his wife, June J. Antonio of Canyon Day; sons, Dallas Lupe of Whiteriver, Milson Cromwell of Whiteriver, Dennison Cromwell of Shiprock, New Mexico, Vincent Lupe of Whiteriver; sister, Delores Truax of Canyon Day; brothers, Evan Paxson, Sr. of Seven Mile, Nathaniel Alchesay of North Fork; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25 at the Memorial Hall in Whiteriver. A two-day wake will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23 at the Family Home in Canyon Day.
