Daniel Irv Holden, 16, died in Ft. Apache Aug. 21, 2004.

He was born in Whiteriver and attended school at Seven-Mile Elementary, Theodore Roosevelt Middle School and the Renaissance Academy. Daniel loved playing basketball and listening to music. He was a friendly, quiet person with a wonderful smile. He liked to playfully tease his little brothers. Daniel was very special to his grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Karenita Holden of Canyon Day; father, Darren (Doreen) Kinney, Sr. of Whiteriver; brothers, Raymond H. Lareck S., Floyd K., Darren K., Jr. and Darrin K.; four sisters, Monique K., Tesshia K., Shelly K., and Aalieeyah K.; grandparents, Raphael and Bernita Truax of Hondah, Minor and Evelyn Kinney of Whiteriver; grandmother, Martha Antonio of Canyon Day; godmother, Norma Kinney of Whiteriver; 11 uncles, Kent (Monica) H., Sammy H., Matthew H., Raphael T. Jr., Duane K. Kenneth (Rhonda) H., Marty (Karen) H., Rayfael T., Rudy T.; seven aunts, Kenita (Keith) Z. Raenita (Conley) C., Artina K., Rachael T., Norma K., Priscilla T.; stepmother, Julie Kinney; along with many cousins, friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 29 at the Canyon Day Lighthouse Church with burial in the Canyon Day Cemetery.
