The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 7, 1958 Wittmann Woman Is Traffic Victim Mrs. Opal Dunavant, 28, of Wittmann was the victim of a pedestrian-auto accident on Highway 60-70 near Wittmann the night of February 28. Highway Patrolman Richard Shafer reported that Mrs. Dunavant, the mother of 10 children, was crossing a bridge when she was struck by a sedan driven by Dean T. Krueger, 20, of Victorville, Calif. Krueger, an airman, reported he applied his brakes when he saw the woman on the bridge but was unable to swerve because a truck was approaching in the other lane of traffic.
