Arizona State Miner, Wickenburg Saturday, January 31, 1925, p 4 c 1 David L. Bishopp, many years a resident of Wickenburg, where he practices law for a profession, owned a large ranch and town property on which the postoffice was located, died in Phoenix on the 9th inst. His death was quiet and peaceful, after only a few days of illness. His beloved wife, life partner of his joys and sorrows, passed away in Los Angeles on September 24th, and those who knew the venerable couple predicted the old man (he was 81 years of age) would not last six months after her death. Mr. Bishopp died as he had lived, quietly and serenely, surrounded by his children in their new home at Phoenix on Culver street. One of his recent requests was that after his demise his remains should be laid beside his wife, in Greenwood cemetery, Los Angeles. This was faithfully carried out, and on the evening of the 10th after the burial ceremony, deceased's body was sent to Los Angeles, where relatives received it and sacredly deposited it beside his wife. Deceased was a regular church-going man, of venerable appearance, and revered by all who knew him for his sterling, manly qualities. He leaves a brother in Los Angeles, two sons in Phoenix with their families, and a daughter in Chicago. See Also: Find A Grave |
