Verdia Marie Fry was born September 22, 1922 in Marion, Illinois.

She married Spencer K. FRY May 10, 1943. They moved to Arizona in 1949 where she spent 30+ years teaching English.

She was a member of Junior Women's Club, Desert Club and ADK teaching sorority.

Verdia was a completely devoted grandmother and great grandma "G.G.". She was a loving mother and trusted friend. She touched more lives than could be imagined. She died a very rich woman and we can't wait to see her again. She was a living example of God's amazing grace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister. She is survived by her children; Spencer FRY (Margo) and Sheena RANG (John), granddaughters; Lindsay JOHNSON (Matt), Courtney GEHL (Jason) and Trasie JOHNS (Brian), great grandchildren; Faith, Carter, Grace, Justen, Delaney, and Devin. She is also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services were held at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Rd.
