| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, September 24, 2009 Frank James Axe was born on Oct. 19, 1918 in Blairsville, Pa. and went peacefully from this earth on Sept. 14, 2009 in Prescott Valley, Ariz. As a World War II veteran, Frank served proudly in the United States Army and retired from civil service at Luke Air Force Base in 1982 as a locksmith. Frank is survived by his wife Marie of 62 years; three daughters, Jacqueline Miyabara (Glenn), Barbara Axe, Patricia Goldberg (Gary); and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice in Prescott Valley. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 26, 2009 at the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. in the Prescott National Cemetery.
