Wayne Richard Pendergrass, 44, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Feb. 24, 1965, in Ringgold, Ga., passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Wayne (Rick) Richard Pendergrass, 44, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born Feb. 24, 1965, to Tommy Llew and Bessie Faye Pendergrass in Ringgold, Ga.

He married Heather Jean Swain in 1985. They later divorced.

Surviving are his children, Lance (Malia) Pendergrass of Malad, Idaho, Lajette Pendergrass of Downey, Idaho; and, as Wayne always said, his better half and sweetheart of seven years, Teresa Davidson of Prescott Valley, Ariz. Also surviving are his three sisters, Linda Pendergrass of Emery, Utah, Carolyn Pendergrass of Willard, Utah, and Charlotte and Jerry Carter of Ogden, Utah, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne had many great friends including Wendell Doty of Prescott Valley, Ariz., one of his best pals. Wayne was the best father and brother in the world.

He was owner of Git R Dun Drywall Company of Prescott Valley, Ariz.
