Robert E. Fornara

Robert E. Fornara died Sept. 19, 2009, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cottonwood, the son of Angelo and Elvezia (Gilardi) Fornara. He moved to Prescott in 1942. Bob was 76.

He spent his life working at the Hassayampa Market 'til its closing in 1979. He then, with cousin Charlie, opened a convenience market on White Spar. He looked forward to the annual family hunts. Bob was a caring man who loved his family.

He will most be remembered by: his sister, Ann (John) Olsen; nieces, Kathy (Steve) Sischka, Marie (Steve) Cobb; nephews, Mike (Sherrill) and Dan (Barb); their children and those who were raised in the "big house" with him; Charlie, Louie and George Fornara and Joe, Jim and Art Savoini. Bob also is survived by son, Steve, and daughter, Kimberly, and the extended Fornara and Savoini families.

A Celebration of Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery, with final committal at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek, Prescott, Ariz.

The family suggests memorials to: Catholic Charities, 434 W. Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz. 86301.
