Mrs. Richmond, aka Mary, Mom, Grandmother, Nonnie, left us to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, after a brief illness. Born Mary F. Dulin to Martin Luther and Frankie Eleanor Dulin on Nov. 22, 1922, in Abilene, Texas, she had been an Arizonan for 71 years, and a Prescottonian for 45 years.

Graduating from Phoenix Union High School in 1940, Mary met the love of her life, John Webster Richmond (USAF, Ret.) and married March 1943. As the wife of a career officer, Mary moved her family across the country and back, returning to Arizona in 1963. She is preceded in death by her husband, John.

Mary's lifelong career was raising her daughters, Katie Crow (Ken) of Glendale, Ariz., Susie Neil (Foster Dee Jr.) of Prescott and Sandy Louttit (Bill) of Prescott. After moving to Prescott, Mary worked as a sales clerk at Gillis Style Shop, Eagle Drug, and for 16 years as the assistant to Dr. James R. Dickson, DDS.

"What a lady," "She had a great smile," "She was so caring of others," "She loved her daughters and family more than anything," a wit, a love, a servant. All are but a few of her descriptions. She never met a stranger, and she always left others with a smile. Mary will be greatly missed!

Mrs. Richmond is also survived by her grandchildren, Renee Crow Hanson (Randy) of Glendale, Ariz., and John Crow (Mary) of Anthem, Ariz.; her great-grandchildren are Scott, Alyssa, and Mike Hanson, and Conor, Maddy and Seth Crow.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Willow Hills Baptist Church, 1071 Mogollon Road in Prescott, followed with internment at Prescott VA Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Yavapai County Humane Society.

Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Please visit www.hamptonfuneralhome.com to sign Mary's guestbook.
