The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, September 19, 2009 Patricia K. Horton, 42, of Cottonwood died September 15. When Patty went home to be with her Lord, her family and close friends surrounded her, along with the thoughts and prayers of many more friends around the United States. Patty was born November 3, 1966 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Charles and Marilyn Clubine. Patty worked and lived many years in Arizona and Colorado before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Gary H. Horton. In 1999, Patty was diagnosed with a brain tumor and so began her valiant battle against cancer. Patty fought a strong fight to the end and her faith in Jesus never once wavered! She now has her miracle healing and is in heaven, rejoicing with Jesus and her friends that have passed before her. All who loved Patty will never forget her brilliant smile and love filled eyes. Patty is survived by her husband of 17 years, Gary H. Horton; two children, Scott Horton of Loveland, Colorado, James Horton of Cottonwood and one grandchild, Max Horton. Patty is also survived by her mother, Marilyn Clubine of Cottonwood, a brother Steve Clubone of Denver, Colorado; and a sister, Karen Clubine of Denver, Colorado along with her aunt, Marjorie Aaron. A public visitation will be held in the Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.. A celebration service will be held on September 24th, 2009 at 6:30 pm in the Westcott Funeral Home Chapel in Cottonwood. A private family inurnment will be scheduled at a later date.
