The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, September 12, 2009 Vaughn A. Kring, 92, of Cottonwood died September 10 in his home. He was born August 24, 1917 in Gahanna, Ohio, the son of Lowell and Tressa (Hults) Kring. He worked as a machinist doing small engine repair and was the owner and operator of a motorcycle shop. He was also a sharpshooter and a Boy Scout leader. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting and model airplanes. Mr. Kring served his country with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lela Virginia Kring; a son Andrew Vaughn and a daughter Sandra Lee; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16 in the Valley View Cemetery at 10 a.m. VFW Post #7400 will provide military honors.
