The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, September 08, 2009 Shirley Kelling, 81, of Cottonwood died September 6. She was born in 1928 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Gladys Binkley and George Sims. She graduated from Colorado University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics in 1948. Her many interests included animals, travel throughout Mexico, playing her piano, her home and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ralph V. Kelling, Jr. and is survived by her sons, Jeff Kelling (Jean) of Cottonwood and Bruce Kelling (Saudia) of Central Point, Oregon; three grandchildren, Steve, Sara and Billie. There are no public services planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 203 Candy Lane, Cottonwood, AZ 86326 or to the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, Utah 8471-5000.
