The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, September 05, 2009 Willard Ford Woodcock, 83, of Cottonwood died August 1. He was born February 7, 1927 in Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, the son of Raymond and Mary Woodcock. He served in the Coast Guard as a machinist Mate 3rd Class in World War II receiving his honorable discharge June 4, 1946. He was a member of the Mercer Community Church of the Nazarene and locally the Verde Valley Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed family, fishing and he loved God. He leaves his sons, Gary Woodcock (Goldie Smith) of Arizona, Terry Allison of Pennsylvania and John Peterson (Linda) of Arizona; daughters, Susan Knott (Gary, husband of 33 years) of Arizona, Patty Burkhart (Butch) of Pennsylvania and Cindy Splinter (Joel) of Arizona; brothers Everett Woodcock (Vera) and Russell Woodcock and sister Edith Rice (George) of Kansas; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
