The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, September 01, 2009 Mary Jane Wilcox, 70, of Salida, died Aug. 25, 2009, at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs from complications of Lupus. Mary was born Oct. 22, 1938 in Decatur, Ill. to Jess and Evelyn Ballinger. She was an identical twin. Mary enjoyed family, friends, music, her church, road trips, walking and cooking. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Paul. Survivors include husband Michael, of Salida, daughter Julia Wilcox of Oakwville, Ill., daughter Elizabeth (Jeremy) Petersen of Salida, son John Wilcox of Albuquerque, N.M., granddaughter Michaela, of Salida, twin sister Marcia Jean Bower, of Lakeworth, Fla., brother in law and sister in law, nieces and nephews. Per the family and Mary, no service are planned at this time. Contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church in Salida or Angel of Shavano Hospice in Salida to assist in their efforts to establish in patient hospice services.
