Stephen G. "Steve" Campos, 52, of Miami, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in Mesa, Ariz. Steve was born in Globe on Sept. 11, 1956, the son of Jose Campos and Alicia Garcia Campos.

Steve grew up in the Globe-Miami area, where he later worked in the mines for 32 years.

Steve met his wife, Cindy, in July 1974, and they married on May 22, 1976. In his spare time he liked to spend time with his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed drawing and reading. He was an active volunteer in his children's sports programs. He was a loving man who put others' needs before his own, and had a sense of humor that was admired. Steve will greatly missed by his family and friends.

Stephen G. "Steve" Campos leaves behind in loving memory: his wife of 33 years, Cindy Campos; his daughter, Stephanie Campos (Manuel Fuentes); his son, Jeremy Campos (Iliana); sisters, Theresa Casillas and Susie Castaneda; brother, Timothy Campos; and 10 grandchildren, with two more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Alicia Campos; and two brothers, Tony and Rick Campos.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz.

Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz.

Interment will be at Globe Cemetery, Hackney Avenue, in Globe, Ariz.

Funeral arrangements for Stephen G. "Steve" Campos were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services, Miami.
