The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 31, 2004, p. B8 Donald W. Kloepfer, 84, of Sun City, formerly of Wickenburg, passed away on March 23, 2004. He was born in Minot, N.D. and was a veteran of Korea. He worked as a conductor for the Burlington-Northern Railroad and came to Arizona in 1987 from North Dakota. Survivors include his son Bill of Plymouth, Minn.; two nieces and nephews; one step-grandchild; two half step-grandchildren; three half step-great-grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion. Private services will be held. Menke Funeral Home of Sun City handled arrangements. --------------------------------------- The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 7, 2004, B9 Donald Kloepfer was born in Minot, N.D. on October 4, 1919. He passed away peacefully in Sun City, Ariz. on March 23, 2004. He was preceded in death by is wife Ida (Braun) Kloepfer of Minot, N.D., daughter Barbara (Braun) Hansen of St. Paul, Minn. and his brother Vernon of Minot, N.D. He is survived by his son William (Peggy) Kloepfer of Plymouth, Minn.; brother Ben (Arlene) Kloepfer of Seattle; nephew Gerry (Nancy) Kloepfer of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren David Wennerlyn of Chicago, Ill., William (Mary) Hansen of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jean Hansen (John Kelly) of Minneapolis, Minn; great-grandchildren Alexander H. Ralke, Jenna Hansen and Anna Hansen. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad, moved to Wickenburg, Ariz. and later moved to Sun City, Ariz. Memorial service is Friday, April 23, 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church at 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, Minn., located one mile west of 494 along State Highway 5. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Sun Health Hospice, 12740 N. Plaza del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381, or donor's charity of choice. |
