The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, May 18, 2007 George Herman Stredde, 88, went home to be with his Lord on May 12, 2007. He was at home surrounded by his family who loved him so much. George was a great and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family so much. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Velma Louise. They are together again. George is survived by two sons, George Stredde, Jr. of Aurora, Ill., Robert James Stredde of Kingman, Ariz.; one daughter Linda Lee Clemens of Prescott, Ariz.; son-in-law David Lee Clemens; his loving grandchildren, Jill Marie Taylor (Steve), Paul David Clemens (Terri), Michael Albert Clemens (Kellie) of Corbin, Kentucky and Sarah Lynn Ashcraft (Matt) of Sherman, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica, Calab, Mason, Lori Lynn, William, Wesley and Steven. As one life goes home, Mike and Kellie bring a new one to us in November. George is also survived by one sister, Ida Crosby of Aurora, Illinois. We would like to thank Hospice of the Pines for their loving care. Especially Linda McGregor, Mary and Peggy. Thank you so much. A private family ceremony will be in Aurora, Illinois, where George was born and raised. One of George's favorite sayings was "Jesus, my Shepherd and only provider."
