The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 21, 2004, A10 William H. Allbritten On Thursday, April 15, 2004, William H. Allbritten went to heaven. He had struggled with dementia/Alzheimer's after heart surgery in October 2003. "Bill" is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne; his son, Dr. Drew Allbritten who is the Executive Director of the Council for Exceptional Children in Washington D.C.; and his daughter, Tamlin Allbritten, an Art Therapist at Remuda Ranch here in Wickenburg. Bill was born in Henry County, Tennessee in 1922. He was a U.S. Army Master Sergeant for the Military Police in World War II, serving four years all over Europe. He was active in the Shrine, the Masons, the Grotto and the American Legion. His occupation was Landscape Design, although his purpose in life was to be "a caring husband and father." A celebration of Bill's life will be held Saturday, May 1 at the Country Club Mobil Home Park in the club house, at 1855 W. Wickenburg Way at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to R&R Respite Care, 580 S. Mariposa, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. Much appreciation goes to the people at Hearth Stone Nursing Home and Vista Hospice. In God we continue to trust. |
