The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 21, 2004, A10 Bud Metcalf Surrounded by his family, Bud Metcalf, 72, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 19, 2004 at the family home. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Bud was born Sept. 28, 1931 to Ralph and Anna Metcalf in Indianapolis, Ind. He received his education at White Plains, N.Y. and attended Purdue and Indiana University majoring in management and business administration. Bud had a long and varied career, including 44 years in the petroleum industry, serving as vice-president of Wake-Oil Company for 24 years. He also owned and operated Sharmet Farms, raising and racing thoroughbred horses for 11 years. Bud will be remembered by his love for his family. He always gave unselfishly of himself. Survivors include his wife of 29 years Sharlyn (Anderson), Deer Lodge; sons Jeff of the Philippines and Jason of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters Jody Pittman of Largo, Fla. and Laralynn Stevens of Danville, Ind.; five grandsons. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Riverfront Park in Garrison. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice of Powell County or donor's choice. Jewell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
