George Sutton, a native of Indiana, aged about 75 years, died in this place on the 16th inst., after a brief illness. The deceased came here about twelve years ago and has since remained in these parts, following mining and prospecting.

Whether any relatives survive him is not known as he was very reticent of his past life or affairs. He was upright in all his dealings, frugal and industrious, and had the respect of all who knew him.

The funeral took place from the Collins Undertaking Parlors on the 19th inst., Judge Day delivering the burial service, assisted by the church choir. The funeral was well attended.
