The Arizona Daily Sun Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Macedon Lucero, 69, formerly of Flagstaff, died on Aug. 14, 2009, in the presence of his loving family. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Mr. Lucero is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Judy Lucero of Albuquerque, N.M.; his children, Stephanie Lucero (Jesus) of Flagstaff, Lorraine Lucero of Watonga, Okla., Manuel Lucero (Julie) of Flagstaff, Natalie Sicilia (Sam) of Jacksonville, Ark., Christine Diamond (Jeff) of Jacksonville, Ark., and Connie Gamboa (Gerardo) of Flagstaff; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Louisa Dean and Rita Lucero; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his two sons, David Lucero and Macedon Lucero Jr.; his parents, Abran and Conrada Lucero; his brother, Phil Lucero; and a sister, Vickie Almendarez. Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
