The Arizona Daily Sun Flagstaff, Arizona Tuesday, June 23, 2009 Raymond Sanchez, 56, died suddenly Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at his home in Glendale. Mr. Sanchez was born in Flagstaff on April 26, 1953. He was the youngest of six. He graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1971, married his high school sweetheart and then went to Tucson. After several years, he moved to the Phoenix area. He enjoyed fishing, puzzle making and was a champaign pool player. He loved sports, especially the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Diamondbacks and, most of alll, the University of Arizona athletic programs. He touched many lives during his short time on earth. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Alfides Sanchez. He is survived by son Raymond Sanchez; daughter Jamie Enriquez; brothers Tony Sanchez and Ernie Sanchez; sisters Eva Diaz, Frances Chavez and Dora Boyk; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Internment in Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
