The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, April 9, 2006 Richard Guy Hamilton, 79, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Virginia. He was born June 5, 1927, in Bisbee, Ariz., the son of Edwin and Esther (Beedle) Hamilton. Richard served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged. Richard married the love of his life, Helen Anderson on August 16, 1950. Helen preceded Richard in death. Richard moved to Prescott in 1986 from California and later moved to Virginia in 2005 to be with his daughter, Caria Briceno. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, as well as hunting and fishing. Richard was proud of his family and their accomplishments, as well as his longtime marriage. Richard is survived by daughters, Carol Lynn Penso of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Caria Briceno of Virginia; brother William (Pat) Hamilton of Colbert, Wash. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole, Andres, Sofia and Blake. A Celebration of Richard's life will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott. Graveside will follow at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
