The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, April 15, 2006 Graveside services for Peggy Baldwin Welly will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Mountain View Cemetery. Peggy and husband William Baldwin moved to Prescott in 1948. They helped organize and were charter members of Disabled American Veterans Prescott Unit 16 in 1968. William served several terms as commander. Peggy retired from Prescott Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1981. As a Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary member, she donated over 5,000 hours of sewing for the Medical Center. In memory of Peggy and her work, the Auxiliary has donated a new sewing machine to the Center. Peggy held offices in the DAV Auxiliary for over 20 years and one year was elected Outstanding State Auxiliary member. Peggy was a devoted member of Prescott Christian Church for over 50 years. Senior Minister Darin Scales will officiate at her graveside service. Information provided by survivors. |
