Alexander Kanuho, 43, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. He was born May 24, 1966 in Keams Canyon, Arizona to Raymond Kanuho and Shirley Gishi Kanuho.

He went to school in Delhon until 8th grade. Alex was a people person and a very friendly guy. For many years he enjoyed herding sheep and chasing cattle. Helived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his grandmother: Susan Gishi; his parents; Raymon & Shirley Gishi; 2 brothers; Rosco Kanuho & Enrique Kanuho: 2 sisters; Debbie (Deno) Kanuho-Haley, Cherilyn Kanuho; 4 aunts: Elsie Johnson, Peggy (William) Biggs, Rose (Richard) Stauffer, Elouise (Jim) Lewis; 4 uncles; Larry (Dorothy) Gishi, Tommy (Charlene) Gishi, Thomas (Bessie) Gishi, Jerry (Elaine) Gishi; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Gishi; aunt, Sally Jones; brother, Ricky Kanuho and his great grandparents.

The funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M., promptly, at the Holbrook Pentacostal Church of God, 823 Mission Lane in Holbrook, where Pastor Jerry Keems will officiate. Concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Holbrook Cemetery.
