Silver Creek Mortuary Taylor, Arizona William Frank Scott (January 15, 1929 - September 22, 2009) William Frank Scott, 80, of Snowflake passed away surrounded by family on September 22, 2009. Bill was born to John and Rhoda Schaeffer Scott on January 15, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was a high school graduate. He was in the Armed Forces from 1947 until 1961 and served our country in the Korean War. He served in both the Navy with the rank of Seaman 1st Class and Air Force with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bill moved to Arizona in 1962, and married Carma J. Matoush, March 9, 1974 in Snowflake, where they raised their combined family. He worked at the Papermill for 22 years and then spent time as Navajo County Constable. Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and travel. Bill is survived by three sons, Barry of Palatka, FL, Wayne of Snowflake and Mark of Keystone Heights, FL, and six daughters, Merrilane (Joe) Zellner of Williams, AZ, Sylvia Young of Palatka, FL, Melanie (Paul) Carlson of Kenai, AK, April (Thomas) Graf of Farmington, NM, Crystal (John) Avery of Milwaukee, OR, and Glenna Scott of Snowflake. He also leaves twenty grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one sister Judith (Ron) Himes of Bradenton, FL. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, two brothers, Joseph R. Scott and George B. Scott, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were held on Friday, September 25, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, AZ.
