The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 09/26/2003 Leon Alexander, 59, Eagar, stepped through the threshold of life into eternity with his Savior, Jesus Christ Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003. Leon was born Nov. 16, 1943 in Artesia, New Mexico. He was a Vietnam veteran, and served in the United States Army. He resided in Arizona for the past 30 years. Leon worked in the transportation field and drove a truck for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Leon leaves behind his wife; Armelia (Armie) Alexander; sons, Charles (Chuck), Eagar, Clyde "CJ" (Amy), Eagar, and Kevin (Andra), San Marcos, California; daughter, Loretta (Frank) McLaughlin of Eagar; his mother Florence Alexander, Roswell, New Mexico; brothers Jack Thomas (Becky) Alexander, Gilette, Wyoming, as well as seven grandchildren who were his pride and joy; His father, Luke Alexander, precedes him in death. Services are Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Jesus First Baptist Community Church, located at 138 S. Hwy 180, in Eagar. Friends are invited for visitation before the services from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Eagar Cemetery. Jewkes Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
