Joseph April passed away Oct. 30. He was born Sept. 17, 1917 in New York City.

He spent his younger years in Steger and Chicago Heights, Ill., and graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, Ill.

Joe enlisted in the military on Oct. 4, 1940, and while in the service he served in many different locations. While overseas, he served in places like Germany, Turkey, India, Canada, Africa and in many locations within the United States. Joe retired from the military July 1, 1963 at Fort Wood, Mo.

He was married to Imogene Hart on Nov. 7, 1941 in Mexico, Mo. While stationed in Winnipeg, Canada, on Sept. 7, 1956, they adopted a little boy and named him Kenneth Joe.

After checking many locations, Joe and Imogene decided to have a permanent home in Wickenburg in 1989.

They have lived on Santa Fe Drive, and Joe made many friends.

Arrangements were made by Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg.
