The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 17, 2004, p. B7 Donna C. Trabert Kirkman, 72, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11 in Wickenburg, with her husband of 50 years, Wally, by her side. She grew up in Nyssa, Ore., and was valedictorian of her high school class. Donna attended Oregon State University and graduated Cum Laude from Idaho State University with a BS Degree in Bacteriology. She was listed in Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities. She met the love of her life, Wallace G. Kirkman, at Idaho State University, where they married upon graduation. After a short time in the Air Force, they lived in Logan, Utah, where Wally pursued his career as a pharmacist and Donna started hers as a rocket fuel analyst for Thiokol Chemical Corporation. They moved to Wickenburg in 1961 to 1965 before moving to Phoenix, where she worked for Motorola for 23 years as a senior scientist. Upon retirement, Wally, Donna and Brad, their son, moved back to Wickenburg, where they have since resided. Donna leaves her husband Wally, son Brad and brother Robert Trabert. Services were held Tuesday (Nov. 16) at Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg. Arrangements were entrusted to Frey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in her name to the Ducks In A Row Foundation, P.O. Box 1364, Wickenburg, AZ 85393. |
