The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 31, 1961 Rites in Salome For Mrs. Dennis Funeral services for Mrs. Helen T. Dennis of Salome were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Baptist Church of that town with the Rev. Bruce Caldwell, the pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Wenden Cemetery. Mrs. Dennis, who was born in Germany 75 years ago, died last Saturday morning in the Faith Rest Home in Phoenix after a long illness. At once time she was in the Echo Hills Nursing Home here. When Mrs. Dennis came to the United States as a young adult she lived in Buffalo, N. Y. She had no known survivors. Mrs. Dennis was widely known as the caretaker of the large collection of birds which were a tourist attraction at Sheffler’s in Salome until the birds were removed about 5 years ago. She has lived in Salome since 1929 and retired when the birds were moved. See Also: Find a Grave |
