| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Sept 23, 2009, p. A15 Doreen “Dee” Gatten, a long-time Wickenburg resident, died Sept. 14 in Wrightwood, Calif., after an extended illness. Dee was born Oct. 31, 1938 in Pomona, Calif., and grew up in Clairmont, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. A private memorial was held Sunday (Sept. 20) in Pomona. Dee will be fondly remembered by her many friends in the Wickenburg area. Dee is survived by her long-time friend and companion Walt Voss and two nieces. Memorials can be made to either the Phelan or Wickenburg Library or the Humane Society of Wickenburg. |
