Verde Independent Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, September 24, 2009 Jared Keith Miracle Grondin, 32, of Village of Oak Creek (Sedona) died September 20. He was born February 10, 1977 in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Dave and Loretta Sue Miracle Grondin. He attended Cornville/Oak Creek schools and was a graduate of Mingus Union High School. Jared was a graduate of Redlands University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English. He worked with his father at Green Earth Company in Cornville. His career was with U.S. Department of Forestry in fire service with the Sedona/Beaver Creek District. Jared was a soccer coach who coached the 2002 Arizona State High School Soccer Champions. He was named Coach of the Year with Sedona Red Rock High School. His hobbies included snowboarding, off road bicycling and rock climbing. He was a loving father, coach son and brother. Besides his parents, he leaves a son, Jaiah and a daughter Jillian; brothers Micah and Eli and a sister Brianna. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26 in the Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood from 10 a.m. to noon. A graveside service will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale at 1 p.m. There will also be a memorial tribute Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Cornville-Oak Creek Soccer field. In honor of his love of soccer, those attending are encouraged to wear a soccer jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to an account established in the names of Jaiah and Jillian Weber Grondin at Chase Bank (89A & Main St.) in Cottonwood.
