Curtis W. Watson, 65, passed away at YRMC on Sept. 24, 2009.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; son James; daughter Megan, both at home; daughters Christina Stacey of Stapleton, Ala., and Lisa Newell (Craig) of Kent, Wash.; five grandchildren, Sarah and Ben Stacey and Kyle, Tyler and Cassidy Newell; and his sister Linda of California.

Curtis was born in California and enjoyed the last 10 years in beautiful Prescott, Ariz., with his family. He retired after 30 years from Southern California Edison. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, enjoyed cooking and camping, and was active in the Long Beach Rod and Gun Club. Curtis, as a good friend of yours (Dennis) said, "You are in Bridgeport, Calif., enjoying the great fishing." How true.

We will miss you; Charlie (dog), too.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association, 2929 South 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.

The family is being cared for by Arizona Wakelin Funeral Home.

Curtis died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. He was born April 18, 1944 in Long Beach, California; the son of Charles and Bertha Watson. Curtis was 65 years old.

Curtis retired as a supervisor from Edison of Southern California and is survived by his loving and caring wife, Mary Watson.
