The Williams News, Williams, Arizona Tuesday, August 25, 2009 Mr. Charles Franklin Vincent, 88, of Holcomb, Miss., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1921 in Campbell, Mo. Mr. Vincent was an accountant and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. He was also a World War II Navy Veteran serving in the command support aircraft group. Mr. Vincent was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a Shriner. Mr. Vincent was a former Boy Scout leader and gave countless hours of his time working with children. Survivors include two sons, Gene Vincent and his wife, Susan of Holcomb, Miss. and Stephen Vincent and his wife, Jo of Bentonville, Ark; three sisters, Lois Bartow of Winslow, Marsha Price of St. Charles, Mo. and Nancy Webster of North Dakota; two brothers, Delmar Floyd Vincent Jr., of St. Charles, Mo. and Dennis Wayne Vincent of Springfield, Mo.; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar Floyd and Lena Eva Green Vincent; his wife, Roma Jane Dial Vincent; and three sisters, Bobbie Walker, Wanda Kelly and Mary Einert. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Clark, Lee Henson, Bradley Massey, Gordon Minyard, Mark Morales, Jeff Vincent and Robert Vincent. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Daryl Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2750, Jackson, MS 39207. Garner-Harper Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. |
