Phillip Barrela Jaramillo, 84, of Williams, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at Flagstaff Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 7, 1924 in Gallup, N.M. to Abelino and Josefita (Barrela) Jaramillo.

Phillip served in the US Army during World War II.

He is survived by his children Rebecca Guerrero, Jenny Gill, Celia Jaramillo, Lawrence Jaramillo, Phyllis Weaver, Patsy Hamilton and Christina Zabala; and 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Phillip is preceded by his wife Isabel Dominguez Jaramillo, daughter Beatrice Jaramillo Verwiel and grandson Herman Raymond Mendoza.

Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 900 W. Grant Ave, Williams, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Williams Cemetery. Veterans Honors will be provided by the American Legion Cordova Post No. 13 from Williams.
