Frank Joseph Stock

Devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Frank Joseph Stock, 70, of Show Low entered eternal life Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home in Show Low.

Frank was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Show Low to the late Joseph Lars and Ruby Montez (Brewer) Stock. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in the Southern States Mission.

He married the love of his life, Saundra "Sonnie" Stock, June 15, 1967, in the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Known for being one of the hardest workers on the Mountain, he loved farming and raising his cattle. An avid gardener, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed cutting firewood and being with his family.

After a long career in trucking, Frank retired in 2001 and spent most of his time making his wood creations.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sonnie Stock of Show Low; children Pete (Donna) Stock of Show Low, Tiffany Peterson of Pinetop, Paul F. Stock of Craig, Alaska, Melanie Sue Stock of Tempe and Nanette (Darrin) Garvin of Show Low; 12 grandchildren; sisters Rita (Gregor) Gregory of California and Dixie (Dave) Gillespie of Shumway; brother Greg (Monica) Stock of Thibadaux, La.; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

He was predeceased by her sister Teddy Val (Frank) Turley of Holbrook.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at the Show Low Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1401 W. Deuce of Clubs in Show Low, with a visitation to be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Interment will be in the Adair Cemetery in Show Low.
