The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 11/30/2007 Dorothy "D.J." Wyant, 65, of Holbrook died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Dorothy was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Pinedale, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Plumb) Holyoak. She grew up all over Arizona and Utah. She married Herbert Wyant Jan. 14, 1963, in Spokane, Wash. She moved to Holbrook in 1963 where she remained, writing poetry and working as a substitute teacher and homemaker. Wyant and Steve Dobbell co-wrote and published a book of poetry, "Two Poets - Two Books", which included her writing "Wheaties for Breakfast." She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, Herbert of the home; her mother, Dorothy Holyoak; daughter Ginna (Dana) Burgan of Holbrook; two sons, Virll Wyant and Irwin (Valerie) Wyant of Holbrook; three sisters, Patricia Holyoak of Spokane, Wash., Paulie (Tony) Baldonado of Holbrook and Laura (Chad) Erickson of Spokane, Wash.; five brothers, Alan and Lavon Holyoak of Spokane, Wash., David (Beth) Holyoak of Elk, Wash., Brad (Julie) Holyoak and Derick (Stacy) Holyoak, all of Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Floyd Holyoak. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Holbrook Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
