GREASEWOOD SPRINGS — Funeral services for Norbert Begay, 34, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Greasewood Faith Mission, Greasewood. The Rev. Johnny Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Greasewood.

Begay died Nov. 5, 2008, in Greasewood. He was born July 20, 1974, in Fort Defiance, into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Honey Combed People Clan.

Begay attended Greasewood Spring Elementary School, Ganado High School and graduated in 1992. He attended college for 3 years at Fort Lewis College, Durango. He worked as an Administration Officer, Greasewood Springs Chapter. Begay enjoyed culinary arts, social activities and volunteering.

Survivors include his parents, Tony and Susie Begay of Greasewood; brothers, Antonio Benally of Fort Defiance, Douglas Begay of Summitt.

Begay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Mae Woody, Boone Woody.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
