GREASEWOOD — Services for Mattie B. Terry, 86, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30 at Our Lady of the Rosary in Greasewood. Burial will follow at Greasewood Community Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Terry died Oct. 25 in Winslow. She was born May 5, 1920 in Lower Greasewood in to the Red House People Clan for the Honeycomb Rock People Clan. Terry was a 1938 Santa Fe Indian School graduate and retired from the BIA-Holbrook Dormitory. Her hobbies included watching pow-wow's and gourd dancing. Survivors include sons, Al Terry, Pete Terry and Randy Terry; daughters, Dorothy Kelley and Charlene Kelley; brothers, Harry Bitsilly, Haskie Bitsilly and Donald Bitsilly; sister, Marie James; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by husband Dolph B. Terry; sons, Michael Terry and Nelson Terry. The family wil receive relatives and friends at The Greasewood Chapter House after services.
