Johnny Bahe Showie

JEDDITO, Ariz. — Graveside services for Johnny Bahe Showie, 77, will be at 1 p.m. today, April 24, at Jeddito Community Cemetery. Pastor Alfred Watchman will officiate.

Showie died April 18, in Jeddito. He was born May 1, 1929, in Jeddito into the Bitter Water Clan for the Towering House Clan.

Showie was retired from the railroad. He also was a farmer, homemaker, carpenter and wood hauler. He enjoyed practicing his religion through song and dance, and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Rita P. Showie; daughter, Rosanna Tsaipi; brother, Benny James; sister, Zonnie Bahe; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Showie was preceded in death by his son, Leo Showie Sr.; parents, James and Mable Begay.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Showie, Leo Showie, John Rodriguez, Alton Showie, Joe Tate and Erickson Begay.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Showie Residence.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
