Colleen Crandell Pacific, 49, on November 8, 2006, came to the end of her long struggle with a rare and poorly understood disease, prophyria.

Colleen was born in Mesa, Arizona on March 4, 1957, where she spent her childhood years, graduating from Westwood High School in 1975.

She became a Registered Nurse, specializng in Home Health. She loved her work and each patient became her friend. She moved to Pinedale, Arizona in 1990, when her health prevented her from working and cooler weather lessened her pain. She continued to give service through her family, her church, animal rescue, and turning strangers-in-need into friends.

She is survived by her precious grandson, Turner Corla; four daughters, Lesli Beatty, Marlee (Ed) Corla, Laura Pacific and Stephanie Pacific; her parents, Keith and Carolyn Crandell; her siblings, Bill (Jill) Crandell, Dianne Crandell Kerns, Jean (Mark) Hilton, Jim Crandell; and 18 nieces and nephews, whom she adored.

Services will begin with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Beverly Ward, 1054 W. 2nd Pl., Mesa, Arizona. A graveside memorial service will be held that afternoon at the Pinedale Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. followed by interment. Arrangements entrusted to Bunker's Garden Chapel, 480-964-8686.

Colleen Crandell was born to Albert Keith Crandell and Carolyn Mae Nusbaum Crandell.
