Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, September 30, 2009 Marie L. Williams, 84, a longtime resident of Flagstaff, died Sept. 15, 2009, at her home. She was born July 7, 1925. Her mother was Ruth Williams and her father was a captain in the U.S. Navy. Miss Williams was an administrative secretary with the Los Angeles Unified School District in California before relocating to Flagstaff with her family in the early 1960s. She then worked for many years for her friend, Mary Mastin, owner of The Wigwam Curios, in downtown Flagstaff. She will be remembered for her love of children, Native peoples, animals, her unassuming and sweet disposition, her wonderful sense of humor, and the treasure trove of the stories of her life. Miss Williams was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Peggy. A brief graveside service will be Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery.
