Silas Jerry King, age 65, passed away Oct. 2, 2009 in Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

He was born Sept. 22, 1944 in San Carlos, AZ to James and Emma King. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for ADCO Paint & Supply.

He enjoyed football, baseball and horse racing and he coached baseball as well. He grew up in San Carlos then moved to Phoenix in 1986. He loved listening to music, reading, going for drives and spending time with his family and friends. He loved ASU and the Arizona Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his brother Rolano King and his sister Pauline McIntosh.

Silas is survived by his wife Patricia Long, his sons Silas King Jr.(Cheryl) of Iraq, Edward King(Nicole) of Mesa, Ernest King of San Carlos and John King(Mary) of Peridot, his daughters Deborah Manuel(Norman) of Sacaton and Crystal Rice of Phoenix and 12 grandchildren.

The wake will be held Oct. 9 at 5:00 am at San Carlos Miracle Church followed by the service at 1:00 pm.

The interment will follow at North Gate Cemetery in San Carlos, AZ.
