Frances Huntress Noyes, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the Olivia White Hospice Home in Flagstaff.

Mrs. Noyes was born in Eliot, Maine, on May 17, 1919, to Harlon E. and Ethel G. (Critchenson) Huntress.

Although she grew up in Maine, she later made California her home for most of her life after marrying Alden Noyes on April 27, 1946.

She spent the last two years of her life living in Flagstaff with her son, Marshall and his wife. Mrs. Noyes worked most of her life as an accountant for North American Aviation, later known as Rockwell International. She loved doing counted cross-stitch pictures, reading novels of all kinds and doing crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Noyes is survived by her youngest brother, Dale Huntress of Gorham, Maine; son Marshall and his wife Marilyn of Flagstaff; and her two "granddogs" Snowy and Melody (Squirt as she called her).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alden; and many brothers and sisters.

Per her request, there will be no services, but she will rest in peace next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.

Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary is handling arrangements.
