Norma Jean Thiessen, 69, of Phoenix AZ, passed away March 15, 2001. Norma Jean Thiessen was born September 6, 1931 in Hilltop, Kansas. She was a graduate of Independence High School, Independence, Kansas. She moved to Phoenix in 1961. She was employed as a Records Manager for the Department of Corrections, retiring in 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Eloise Muldoon, a sister Evelyn McVey and one daughter Berniece Reid. Survivors include her husband-Waldo Theissen of Phoenix, AZ; four daughters-Barbara McKinnon of Phoenix, Phyllis Pitts of Lake Jackson, TX, Melinda Walnoha of Blythe, CA and Sherry Peterson of Phoenix, AZ; one brother H.D. Muldoon, of Glendale, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation was Sunday, March 18, 2001, in Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301. Services were Mon., March 19, 2001, Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary. Memorial contributions: American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85016. The Arizona Republic March 17, 2001. |
