| Gassaway, James R. "Jim" James R. Gassaway "Jim" 73, of Mesa went home peacefully May 2, 2006. Jim was a native of Arizona who loved landscaping and being a member of the Guadalupe Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Liz, brother, Lee, daughters; Rose Combs (Tom), and Debbie Holleman, grandson, Bill Holleman, and a close family friend Sharon Goolsby. A visitation was held Thursday May 4, 2006 at Tempe Mortuary 405 E. Southern Ave. in Tempe. Funeral services were held Friday, May 5, also at Tempe Mortuary. Interment followed at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E Southern Ave. in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: the Guadalupe Lions Club P.O.
